Background & Personal Statement
“Before working in production sound, I dabbled in videography, photography, rock bands, acting, and writing. But I kept gravitating toward the faders, which led to a BA in Broadcast Communications from San Francisco State. Afterwards I remained in San Francisco, bouncing between music recording, live sound, sound design, and doc work. In 2015, I took the next big step and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue production sound full-time. Since then I’ve worked on Oscar- and Emmy-winning projects, expanded my operations to Las Vegas while continuing to serve Los Angeles, and have become the personal sound engineer for one of Hollywood’s biggest living legends.
I absolutely love what I do! At its best moments, it’s the spirit of collaboration to tell stories, using my technical savvy to find artistic ways to capture a moment, in an often challenging situation. I live for those moments!”
